Group Guidelines

It’s not our desire to impose lots of rules on the group or to be too to rigid or strict. However, it is necessary to have a few guidelines in place so that members are aware of our expectations. If there is a need to give anybody a warning or impose a ban than no excuses can be made as to not knowing the group guidelines.

The primary purpose of this group is to join in fellowship for the building up and edification of believers. Although we do discuss various topics if your intention is to debate other religions or cults then please take a look at our Sister sites page and see if there isn’t a more appropriate forum for such discussions there. We don’t want this group to get too bogged down with doctrinal debate. The ‘What we Believe’ page is quite clear so members know what tenets of faith the managers adhere to.

——————————————————————————–

A note for new members. When you first join your posts will be moderated. We have had individuals post inappropriate material in the past so unfortunately have had to implement this system until we’re sure that members are genuine in their desire to be part of the fellowship here. We will also not allow any messages that contain foul or offensive language and blasphemies.

Do NOT mention other groups or members of other groups when you are posting on this site. We realise that many of you will be members of numerous groups and by all means share topics with us that you might have raised elsewhere as a matter of interest but do not name other groups in your posts or members of other groups. It can cause offence and lead to petty tit for tat behaviour.

RESPECT FOR MEMBERS

Please always respect the right of others to have a personal opinion. You may not agree with them but please remember to treat one another with loving kindness and patience.

Ephesians 4
1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,
2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

RESPECT FOR MANAGERS

You may not always like decisions made by the managers of this group but please respect the fact that we are always doing what is in the best interests of the group. If you have an issue you wish to raise with us regarding the management of the group than please raise it with us via email, rather than the group message boards at…

bornagainchristians@msn.com

It is also up to the discretion of the managers to cancel the membership or ban any person(s) whose name, profile picture or attitude towards others, is seen as being offensive!!

SCRIPTURE

When answering posts and making statements about matters of faith please always back up your point of view using God’s Holy and inerrant Word. Please note that we will not allow passages from the Apocrypha, the book or Mormon, the Watchtower or any other false book.

2 Timothy 3
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness

CHAT ROOM

The chat room is a great place to meet one another, chill out, chat and share. Please always be courteous and polite in your conversations and no foul language. The use of such language will lead to a first warning and then an immediate bounce from the room by a member of the management team. You may also be given a 24 hr ban if you persist to re-enter the room and use such language.

Remember also that what you read or hear about in chat room is not to be gossiped about or taken to other chat rooms etc. Gossip is not a godly habit and confidentiality helps to build faith and trust in one another.

Colossians 4
6 Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.

LINKS

If you are posting links to another group or site please first send the link to the managers so that we can check them out before we approve them. You wouldn’t believe some of the links people attempt to post via the group!!

…. and last but by no means least… enjoy the group!!

God bless

Peter and Debbie
